By Matt D., Editor - Trek5.com After 58 episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise, it saddens me to announce that Trek5.com will no longer be reviewing "Enterprise" -- the fifth television series in Star Trek's franchise. Truth be told, this series has never reflected Star Trek's values. From the outset, "Enterprise" was geared for the 13 - 18 year-old boys who UPN is trying to court. It cast as its heroes a group of xenophobic, short-fused, close-minded men who, sadly, have more in common with Jerry Falwell's religious right than they do with Deep Space Nine's "paradise called earth," or Captain Janeway's bold ethics from "The Void." I do not want to get into who's at fault for how the Trek franchise could become so unrecognizable. In fact, I hope the show improves. That's because I love Star Trek. I mean, I LOVE Star Trek. By letting go of "Enterprise" I will be dedicating more time to producing the kind of content that reflects why I started Trek5 in the first place: to honor the designs and creators of Star Trek. This means more stories on ships, screen caps, and historical features. Besides, there's no shortage of web reviews for "Enterprise." www.trek5.com
